Wali763 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 (edited) Hi. I first witnessed this in the L-39, where artifacts showed up on the edge of the frontpanelcover. Then I saw it in the F-86, all starting in the Take-off-IA-Mission in Cauasus. Turning SSAO off resolved this, turning SSAO on, brought the issue back. See attached pics. Those squares do flicker all the time and sometimes go away, but then come back again. Edited April 23, 2021 by Wali763
Flappie Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Hi @Wali763. I cannot reproduce your issue with SSAO. However, you helped me notice some non-SSAO related gliches in L-39C and ZA cockpits. ---
Denominus Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 I had exactly the same problem with a Radeon 5700XT. SSAO causes black square flickering artifacts in the cockpit, I was able to resolve it by finding this thread and disabling SSAO.
Wali763 Posted August 27, 2022 Author Posted August 27, 2022 I would like to add, that this problem still persists for me when SSAO is on. My GPU is an AMD 6800XT.
Zeagle Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 I used to see those little black boxes with SSAO on while flying the L-39C and the Su25T. Now I do not. It appears to be fixed for me. AMD Radeon 6800XT and Ryzen 7 3800X My graphic settings are just the default "high" settings preset. 1
Wali763 Posted August 31, 2022 Author Posted August 31, 2022 (edited) Hi. Sorry for the late reply. Im using OpenBeta for VR and Stable for 2D. Both are on the latest version. Just tested this and Im witnessing those artifacts only on Stable. Setting OpenBeta to 2D and turning SSAO on, did not cause the artifacts. I also did not witness them in VR. As mentioned above unchecking SSAO solves the problem. Edited August 31, 2022 by Wali763 1
Flappie Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Yes, the fix hasn't made it to Stable yet. Many thanks for your feedback. ---
