M2KC is plumbed and wired for TPOD?

I recall back in 2011, when French M2000? were bombing Quadaffi's forces, the aircraft had LiteningII (or look a like) pod. Helmet cam from pilot showed the pod on port wing inner station. Radar display can double up as video.

Mirage 2000D and the -5 can carry TPOD. I don't believe the C model does.

I heard that M2000-5 are just a Mirage2000-9 with downgraded softwares...

T-Pods might then just be an option  for those who have the money for an upgrade.

It's more that the -9 is a fully upgraded jet, with upgrades built specifically for the UAE who wanteed all sorts of goodies other export customers didn't want to spend money on. Very much like the Block 52+ Vipers vs the UAE's block 60. For the AdA specifically, yes, it doesn't have any of those capabilities because the French -5s are strictly air defense jets.

It’s more complicated than that.

The Mirage 2000-9 (U.A.E.) and Mirage 2000-5Mk2 (Greece) appeared much later than Mirage 2000-5 for France (bought because of Rafale delay and to support export efforts), Taïwan and Qatar.

The avionics hardware inside is different since -9 and -5Mk2 borrowed EMTI/ MDPU from Rafale. Older -5 has more traditional avionics hardware, and more limited for easy upgrades.

So -5 isn’t downgraded -9 but -9 is more advanced evolution of -5.
