Payload oddity

Hello,

 

I don't know if this is a happy bug (please don't fix), but I have already-set payload options available in my payload screen that I cannot choose if I set up my payload manually, pylon by pylon. For example, I can have 3xMK83 on a single inboard pylon, or 19 rockets. Neither is available on my manual payload setup.

 

I'm guessing this is just leftover from the Harrier status years ago. Does everyone have this?

How are you doing it?

 

I just tried from the Mission Editor and from the Mission planner, latest 2.7 OB and I see the same options as the manual payload.

If it was saved back when that loadout was possible, you can still select it. I don't know if it will load in-game though.

I can't find any possibility to chose 3xMk83. Not in the ME, not ingame or at any preset... (inner pylon)
The only option is 3xMk81

It is not available now (as in the real AV-8B, due to danger of inner bomb hitting the plane on release, or overheating or something), but earlier in development you could take three Mk. 82 and 83 on inner pylons. Also, triple FFAR rocket pods were removed although those are listed as valid loadouts for inner pylons in NATOPS, as well as Mk.82 on triple rack (with BSU-33 fins).

One problem is that though I can choose 4x19 rockets as a payload, I can't access the rockets on the MFD to arm them. The 3xMK83 work fine.

Seriously, tell me this doesn't warm your Harrier heart. 

 

(But if I have this in my list of preprogrammed loadouts, shouldn't everyone?)

Well, I don't have it 

 

I only thing I can think about is that, somehow, you modified that payload way back them and since it was modified, it is keep after the updates....

I have one of the preprogrammed payloads that should have 3xMK83 but I switched one pylon to Zunis way back when and I can't switch it back to 3xMK83. You can see it in the loadout page pic a few posts above.

 

You might be right that it kept a modified payload. In any case, I'm taking care not to modify this one. I like 8xMK83.

Similarly, I still have AGM-65G from loadouts created in Missions before it changed to the -F model.

 

Doesn't work any differently, but it shows up as -G
