To all you former Hornet drivers

What else do you dim to see lineup

I turn down the HUD brightness so I can gauge my lineup

Thanks

Me too. As dim as I can stand it otherwise the boat disappears behind the bright lines/circle. Have you noticed the light down on the rear of the boat below the deck that indicates lineup?

Drop lights or the long range line up lights? I find the line up lights a bit of a distraction from the plain old drop lights.

DO it or Don't, but don't cry about it. Real men don't cry!

I could see the big light in back of the boat

Sometimes I don’t see the landing area on Supercarrier till it’s on top of me

I wish you could see the landing area sooner

Not sure the proper term for the light(s). It may be more than one but at distance, say 6-7 miles, it looks like one that changes red or green and flashing or solid. My technique for a straight in lineup is to use the ICLS. I have the circle to the right of the vertical line and to the right of the boat until under a mile out. At .6-.7mile I start to let the circle move over to the deck but it isn't centered on the deck till .2-.3mile. This compensates for the fact that the boat is moving to our right as we approach it. If I center the ICLS any sooner I end up aimed at the deck but approaching from the left.

if  your  talking  about the  red  flashing  or  green  flashing  lights  at  the  stern is  that  if  its  flashing red  you need  to   turn  right  abit  till  it  turns  orange,  if  its  flashing  green    turn  left.  If the  light is  orange  means  your  on  centre  line  of  the  carrier
