TM HOTAS Throttle Grip Replacements

Hi All,

 

As you know, the grips on the TM HOTAS are smooth. Does anyone know of a company that does replacement texture pads that can be overlaid in order to provide a rougher sort of texture. I have seen something similar to what I required on the following video;

 

 

You can see the textured looking throttles in the left had side of this video thumbnail

 

I would appreciate any assistance on this, Oh, If anyone know where to get a good set of throttle uplifters also, that would be helpful too

As lame as it might sound, I think anti-slip tape (search on amazon) might be just what the doctor ordered.

I bought skateboards adhesive tape, it´s like sanding paper. After two years, some parts of the coating have thinned, showing some wear which I somehow like
However, your left hand rubbing constantly against the sanding part creates some thin dust, powder like black stuff which reaches everywhere within the throttle, inner parts of the throttle rail included.
The original idea I think came from customized grips for pistols and guns.

OK, well, I guess, Amazon here I come.

 

I can understand the liking of the wear pattern, sort of gives it some authenticity of an actual working office

You're welcome. Yeah, its pricey for those pieces.

Anyone got experience with this add on here? Seems to be simply added to the lever but the cable baffles me and I have no idea where it comes from the base.

I've been wondering this myself. Cannot find any real good info. My guess is it's going to be its own usb controller, with its own wire all the way back to USB A.

This stuff is a bit on the expensive side but works well. 'Granulate' is like sand paper. Rubber is much nicer long term.

Exactly, TALON was the brand I was recommended as well.
