I can confirm they are working. Did a cold start in dark yesterday. Can't remember if I pressed a specific switch.

There are switches for the cabin lights at your left elbow at the top left of the panel. One is covered. Not exactly sure what they do.

There are 3 brightness dials at your right elbow at the bottom right of the panel. They have like 10 clickable positions. There are also 2 or three more dials on the bottom  right front panel near your right ankle.

Try those?

The are all working but if you trying them at day, the light from them is not much visible. Try them in night time. ED did excelent job with Hind cockpit lighting.

Beat me to it 😅

Most of the interior lights seem to work. Though I'd say text backlights are just a smidge dim (even when it's pitch black and maxed).

  • The white/red dome light is absolutely perfect.
  • The bright/dim button control doesn't seem to do anything, nor does the armament panel light switch.
  • The warning lights are absolutely superb
  • The dim navigation lights during the day are basically invisible, and are very dim at night.

The co-pilot-operator cockpit is absolutely great, though no backlights for the sight control panel, nor are there any lights for the transmitter control panel (you'll have to use a torch or the dome light to see them.

The sight backlight is kinda meh, though that's probably due to the poor resolution of the sight itself (which is probably a bigger issue - the sight is a periscope, it should have as much resolution as just looking out of the canopy regularly).

During the day though, the panel backlights are way too dim, I obviously wouldn't expect the lighting for panels in direct sunlight to be visible, but they shouldn't be completely invisible for panels in shadow, during the day. Or should they?

This issue isn't specific to the Hind by any means, it affects basically every module, and prior to 2.5.6 it wasn't an issue whatsoever, the lighting would behave as you'd expect (i.e visible for panels in shadow and not/barely visible for panels in direct sunlight).

The panel backlights are way too dim during the day, I obviously wouldn't expect the lighting for panels in direct sunlight to be visible, but for panels in shadow they should definitely be visible, and not borderline invisible like they are now.

Yes thats right. Those lighting problems are with us for a long time now...

the cockpit is awesome and the lights turn on for me even the instruments, the frustration is that the red instrument lights for the instruments in front of the pilot are not getting brighter, only the communications panel gets brigth

I’ve found three rotary light switches on the bottom of the power panel on the right, only one of them seems to do anything (turns on the backlight for some of the flight instruments), there’s two of the same kind of switch on the front right hand engine instrument panel, only one of those seems to do anything (turns on the backlight for the left wall switches)

EDIT

So I was doing my testing using the APU, not all the panel lights come on until you’re running off the main generators

This was what I was looking for when trying to find instrument lighting, thanks!
