What do you mean by that, and what sources do you have that indicate tha AZ/EL and the HMD should interact?

Do we have to pull everything out of your nose, or is it just me wondering?

So you just keep being vague. Fair enough.

Well...yes but actually no. The option is just shown and not described. Im actually waiting for an sme to describe it. Also devs should already know about it.

Asking for a feature that isn't described in a document you mentioned, without explaining it at all. Sounds about right...

When Shimmer asked you what were your sources, your answer was 746. Make up your mind. If you can't describe this feature yourself, you can't expect ED to add it (if it exists at all).

Since I assume you're being vague because of the forum rules, this is what is specifically prohibited:

Quote

1.16 Posting of images, file links, file sharing links, and copying and pasting information is prohibited if the source document is from a classified or ITAR controlled source.

You can say the name of the document and a page number so that others can reference and know WTF you're talking about. You can  describe in very general terms what feature you're talking about.

You don't need to be so vague as "There's a feature mentioned somewhere in this series of documents. I want it." Or, if you're really concerned about classification or ITAR and want to communicate something to the dev team, PM NineLine or BIGNEWY where you can be as explicit as you want to rather than being pointlessly vague in public.

The "HMD" option on the FLIR and Az/El format is located along the L+S and BST options. It's one of the FLIR pointed modes. Basically it just slaves the FLIR LOS to the HMD LOS. From there I guess you could try visually autotracking a target or something. Seems pretty useless. Of course I wouldn't oppose implementing it for the hell of it since it is quite simple.

Anyway Az/El and HMD have nothing to do with each other. The HMD option is just there on the Az/El because the FLIR slave modes are copy pasted onto the Az/El, because the Az/El can be used to cue the FLIR in A/A. This is very much a FLIR function that happens to tie slightly into the Az/El interface.
