DocSigma Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 During startup, I am unable to turn the AP on. No button for PItch, Yaw, Roll lights up green when push the on buttons, nor am I able to align the gyro's. Pressing the button for both gyros doesnt cause the light to go out. The RPM's are between the two yellow indicators. Any ideas what im doing wrong here? Thanks. TomChaai Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 If you can't align the gyros and AP can't turn on, there is no power. The main generators need rotor RPM to be within working range to work, then you have to turn on the 2 inverters and the 2 rectifiers to properly power on the electrical system. 1
VampireNZ Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Don't forget your “115v” and “36v” transformer switches on same panel as Gen switches. 1 Vampire
Revs Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Also noticed the autopilot route won’t engage when flying stable while too fast, always have reduce bit of power get stable before it engages. yngvef Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Yes, the transformers on the electrical panel need to be on AND the vert gyros need to be running properly (cage buttons on front left panel) for the autopilot to work
DocSigma Posted June 24, 2021 Author Posted June 24, 2021 All of this resolved it. I had the transformers off. So much easier to fly with the 4axis autopilot on lol. Thanks for the help.
