dresoccer4 Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 so i just got my vertical stabilizer and rudder blown clean off...two minutes ago. and didn't even notice My yaw control works just fine; I can push the rudder pedals and have full authority! is this a bug or just a "perk" of the F-16? thanks Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules
b0bl00i Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Seems like the visible damage model does not correlate with the logical. Bug or not yet implemented! 3
darkman222 Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Seems like the F16 finally has that feature like in the Mirage 2000 too. So its not only the Mirage flying around perfectly without rudder any more No, ED is working on the damage model they stated, when the bug appeared that shot flaps produced a faulty 3D model of the F16. Its just not there yet. 1
Dragon1-1 Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Is that multiplayer? Actual damage desyncing with visuals is a known issue, it can happen to every aircraft.
Machalot Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 I flew like this the other day too. I lost the rudder and all the moving surfaces on the left wing. I was able to stabilize the aircraft and land using full right stick and a little right rudder. 2 "Subsonic is below Mach 1, supersonic is up to Mach 5. Above Mach 5 is hypersonic. And reentry from space, well, that's like Mach a lot."
