Vyrtuoz Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to check that flight recording very soon. Vyrtuoz Posted November 16, 2008 Author Posted November 16, 2008 Hi wed, I noticed that your flight recording was recorded with Tacview 0.93 (*NOT* the new 0.93b version). This is why your flight recording is too big (1.5 GB when effectively unpacked) to be handled by the 32 bits version of Tacview. I suggest you to uninstall properly (through the microsoft windows control panel) any previous release of Tacview then reinstall and ask Tacview 0.93b to setup its new non-bugged export script for Flaming Cliffs. However, I will release soon a new version which will be able to handle those “invalid” flight recordings gracefully. Today I flyed on 169th and my tacview log was 250mb in size. How can I "ask Tacview 0.93b to setup its new non-bugged export script for Flaming Cliffs"? I need to check "Record Flamming Cliffs flight" in upper menu, right? Anyway thanx for support! Vyrtuoz Posted November 18, 2008 Author Posted November 18, 2008 How to ensure that you are using the latest LUA export script How to ensure that you are using the latest LUA export script: First you should (for example) uninstall all previous version of Tacview through the control panel. (you have to manually delete versions older than 0.93) Re-install the latest version (currently 0.93b). Launch it and check that lock-on icon is not displayed in Tacview status bar Then you can enable the record "flaming cliffs" flights option to install the latest LUA script How to know what recorder was used for a flight: (when you can load the flight recording ;)) Load your flight recording in Tacview Open the properties tab The export script version is displayed in "Recording Device" field It's really strange cause i checked the version number and it was 0.93b.
