Rolds Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 I am unable to provide tracks because they are larger than the much too small limit of 5MB so I guess you'll just have to trust me! I created 4 waypoints using MGRS grid as I sat on the ground, loaded SLAM-ER's, used TOO mode and selected my target with WPDSG, and loaded the 4 intermediate steerpoints into the slam. Releasing the SLAM-ER then causes the server to crash on both attempts I made. And I have tracks but I cannot upload them as they are 18 and 37 MB.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 1, 2021 ED Team Posted September 1, 2021 Please include the dcs log after the crash, so far we have been unable to reproduce this issue. I will move to the crash forum area thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Rolds Posted September 18, 2021 Author Posted September 18, 2021 I don't want to deliberately crash the server but for future reference how do I find these logs? Maybe they are already on my computer somewhere.
Flappie Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 You should be able to find them here: C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS(.openbeta)_server\Tracks\Multiplayer ---
Rolds Posted September 23, 2021 Author Posted September 23, 2021 Are you sure that's what Bignewy meant? I have the tracks, as I mentioned in my original post, they're just too large to upload to the forum.
Flappie Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 My mistake. Logs can be found here: C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS(.openbeta)\Logs ---
Rolds Posted September 24, 2021 Author Posted September 24, 2021 Ok I checked, there's nothing in there from Aug 27. Does it wipe those files when you start DCS? The only files in that folder are from yesterday (the last time DCS ran on my machine)
Flappie Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 A crash usually generates a ZIP file every time. A freeze doesn't. If you're chasing a freeze, you need to retrieve the "dcs.log" file before it gets replaced. There are two of them: "dcs.log" is the latest (or current) one, and "dcs.log.old" is the one from the previous run. ---
Kei1415 Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 (edited) I had a similar problem. But it was PP mode. By inputting altitude to missile's each steerpoints, it worked. When I didn't input passing altitude to steerpoints, SLAM-ER kept decenting to zero feet, then before the missile dive into sea DCS crashed. I'm sorry for my bad English skill. Edited September 29, 2021 by Kei1415 Many mistakes
Callsign Munch Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 SLAM-ER in PP mode with steerpoints crashes servers. I did not enter in any altitude to see if it worked. 2021-12-08 19:43:36.761 INFO EDCORE: C:\DCS World OpenBeta Server\bin\WeaponBlocks.dll 2021-12-08 19:43:36.786 INFO EDCORE: # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 0D7649A3 00:00000000 dcs.log.old [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ATPL - B737 - Class I Instructor Rating - Seaplane
