correct as is Periscope zoom

Would somebody confirm if the periscope is now working as it should, I'm having problems getting the zoom to work and fear it may be a key binding issue - thanks

Just the 2 zoom settings is as it should, either in or out - i had this mapped to my throttle and it used to work but the patch before this one screwed around with the crosshair inputs (something to do with trackir) and i think the the zoom in and out feature stopped then, they’ve fixed the crosshair input but i still cant zoom

Not even the + and - key commands are working for me, anyone else with this issue?

There is no +/- keybinds. Default keybind is LCtrl+X. Just tried it and it works just fine

The bind you have use previously ('zoom in', 'zoom out') has been removed in a controls clean up 2 updates ago. Currently there is only LCtrl+X, which swaps 'Magnification 3x/10x', available. Unfortunately I do not believe there is a dedicated bind for 10x or 3x as of yet.

I am not sure how OP binded it, but I can't see a reason why he can not bind that command to his throttle. Only thing that could prevent him if that was set as an axis, but AFAIK, sight zoom was never an axis.

Thanks guys, I wasn’t aware that these commands had been ‘cleaned up’, seems odd to have only the single new command for whats essentially an in cockpit toggle switch, oh well at least it free’s up a HOTAS command!

Although the zoom in and zoom out commands are still listed its the LCtrl+X command that does the job, it's now a single key bind that carries out both functions, rebind and it'll work as intended.

 

Note: you can bind 2 inputs to the command so I've just kept it mapped to the airbrake switch on my TMWH, either up or down on that switch does the job and feels like it did before.
