dresoccer4 Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 so...what causes this upon startup? i'm guessing nothing good is there a way in-sim to tell you what's happening to your plane? this would be phenomenal for training exercises 1 Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules
Art-J Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 In Mustang and Spit it means overheat and coolant venting out, however in Mossie it tends to happen even when all temps are OK. Part of WIP I guess... Don't be bothered, you can takeoff like that without issues and it will soon stop in flight. 2 i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

HotTom Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Thanks,Art-J. I couldn't figure it out. Steam pouring out but engine OK. Exceptional engineering...and a large hammer to make it fit!
Porkchopper Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 (edited) For me, it's always the port engine, never starboard. Happens on startup/takeoff then disappears after a few minutes. Happens again on landing. Edited September 26, 2021 by Porkchopper
Euan Emblin Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 It was disconcerting the first time it happened, which was my first take off, but I thought it might present a good opportunity to practise prop feathering once up and away. - 'The Dog's Rollocks' - [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] is a water cooled behemoth : i9 9900K@5GHz/RTX 2080Ti/32 Gb 3600MHz RAM/M.2 NVMe onboard drives/System driving Pimax 5K Plus/TM Warthog/MFG Crosswind/Gametrix Jetseat
