so...what causes this upon startup? i'm guessing nothing good 😉

 

is there a way in-sim to tell you what's happening to your plane? this would be phenomenal for training exercises

In Mustang and Spit it means overheat and coolant venting out, however in Mossie it tends to happen even when all temps are OK. Part of WIP I guess... Don't be bothered, you can takeoff like that without issues and it will soon stop in flight.

For me, it's always the port engine, never starboard. Happens on startup/takeoff then disappears after a few minutes. Happens again on landing.

It was disconcerting the first time it happened, which was my first take off, but I thought it might present a good opportunity to practise prop feathering once up and away.
