fixed DCS wont start, despite updating. Steam beta client issue

DCS wont start.

I've done the repair and update from startmenu>Eagle Dynamics, as well as Steam "verify integrity of game files". I've restarted the computer, nothing works.

When starting DCS I get this message:

Please include your dcs.log from saved games dcs log folder it should have some clues.

Usually an antivirus / security creating the problem, try adding dcs to your allowed list and running another repair

Seems to be a steam issue, have you restarted the PC it may help

I've restarted the pc several times, no help.

Other games work just fine. For now, it seems to only affect DCS.

Im still stuck, I've gone through the different firewall/anti-virus settings, but found nothing which could be the cause.

I set it back to none-beta, pic. (it that is what you meant)

No open beta DCS, open beta of STEAM

Yes opting out of the steam beta client ( not dcs beta ) should help

We are aware of the problem now and working with steam to resolve it

Launching DCS.exe instead of using the library shortcut is also another work around 

[OPEC]

Both is not helping. Getting this wired error also.

Bit sad, isn' it? Given this post is almost a month old?

I was able to solve this problem by reinstalling Steam. Steam support assures that if you install Steam client in the same folder you won't lose your game files:

Bad luck for me (it meant downloading 300 GB of content )
Try googling: "How to reinstall Steam without losing game content". You can find decent options.

That advice didn't help me either.

I have tested a fix for the steam beta client and it will be in the next open beta update.

best option for now is to opt out of the steam beta client.
