ZoomBoy27 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Anyone started lobbying yet with Jiri to add DCS: Black Shark? Did some searching on what's needed - http://hyperfighter.sk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1499 ZoomBoy My Flight Sims Page - Link to My Blog - Sims and Things - DCS Stuff++ - Up-to-Speed Guides to the old Lockon A10A and Su-25T - Some missions [needs update]
Cyb0rg Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 IMHO HyperLobby is a must. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Asteroids ____________________________________________ Update this :D
Prophet Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 IMO the DCS multiplayer interface just needs a chat and a friends list.
r-unit Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 IMO the DCS multiplayer interface just needs a chat and a friends list. perhaps in a patch down the road
Slayer Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 (edited) perhaps in a patch down the road Just make a deal with gamespy or Xfire....you'd think in this day and age EVERY game that had multiplayer would have buddy list/serverlist filtering options for servers etc. it's the base minimal and online play will dictate a games longevity after long people get bored of single player mode. Seems like this game has great multiplayer potential with datalink etc. Using something like gamespy or Xfire frees the developers to make the gameplay instead of having to devote resources to netcode.....BF series ArmA etc all have this in some form or another. Sims have been terrible at multiplayer ever since their inception, as if its thrown in as an afterthought....anyone remember Kali? Thats what we had to use to play EF2000 back in the day. :P Edited November 20, 2008 by Slayer [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System Specs Intel I7-3930K, Asrock EXTREME9, EVGA TITAN, Mushkin Chronos SSD, 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Z series 2133, TM Warthog and MFD's, Saitek Proflight Combat pedals, TrackIR 5 + TrackClip PRO, Windows 7 x64, 3-Asus VS2248H-P monitors, Thermaltake Level 10 GT, Obutto cockpit
Feuerfalke Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I honestly would prefer these options ingame, too. I don't know if anybody of you is familiar with the RTS-game "World In Conflict", but it is the most complete game in terms of friend-, squad- and league-management I've ever seen on the market. It has everything from chatrooms, to Clan-foundation and management, designing your own personal or Clan-insignas, that are displayed on your units online, as well as a variety of buddy-functions and tournament management, even a complete league management for the game. If we could only get part of that for DCS, that would be really great, especially with the stronger multiplayer-parts like two-seaters ahead. :smilewink: MSI X670E Gaming Plus | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 64 GB DDR4 | AMD RX 6900 XT | LG 55" @ 4K | Cougar 1000 W | CreativeX G6 | TIR5 | CH HOTAS (with BU0836X-12 Bit) + Crosswind Pedals | Win11 64 HP | StreamDeck XL | 3x TM MFD
Boberro Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Agree, World in Conflict is good example of net management. About HL, don't know if even this guy still supports Hyper Lobby... Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
S77th-konkussion Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I don't think Jiri is interested anymore. I was hunting a fix for a glitch in HL's appearance that came up on Vista systems on the HL forums- you wouldn't beleive what's been going on there (for months, evidently). The term "losers" has been re-invented. There's no way that behavior would have continued if Jiri had even glanced at his site lately.
