davescl Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Hello, I have recently jumped in the VR experience but crashed on the initial steps. I am running a DCS World Open Beta version (installed from ED website) for few years already . I have installed oculus app and I Link app in the computer but can not find a way to access DCS from the Oculus headset. I have looked through the internet but have found guidelines to run a VR version from STEAM only. Does anybody have a suggestion of what am I missing here? Best Regards, David
dburne Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Insure you have " allow unknown sources" checked in the Oculus software. Insure you have VR checked in the Graphics Options in DCS. Launch Oculus software, launch the Oculus Link. Start DCS from your desktop shortcut. It "should " open up in your headset. 11Bee Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 I just tried out my Q2 for the first time. It's truly amazing but the framerates are horrible and I get temporary black screens when I rapidly shift turn my head. I'm using airlink (I'm sitting about 1' from my router. i7/10700 CPU, 16GIG, RTX 3060Ti. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
TZeer Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Well, first you need to be sure your wifi is able to push the data you need to hava a good experience in DCS. I'm running a cable myself as the wifi cover where i have my computer is bad, and I don't want to risk getting jitter and lag If my better half decides to start streaming. Then go into your device and crank up your screen resolution. Set refreshrate to 90 HZ and set ASW to 30. Do not have higher MSAA then 2x. Have SSAA and SSAO or whatever they are called off. They kill fps. 1
Steel Jaw Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 You're really gonna need a good cable link. 1 "You see, IronHand is my thing" My specs: W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB.

Steel Jaw Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 AM cable from best buy fine. VR is great...when it works. I spend equal time fixing and flying VR. At least 2d with trackir always works.
