EA Status of AI "George" - Will he be able to ID targets (prior to pre purchasing for EA)

The BFT does fit within the era of the module, though, as there was a rush to equip Army Aviation with it from 2002-onwards.

Not a make or break feature if it's not part of the package, but it's a capability that's been there for a while.

Nearly 2 weeks on is this such a hard question for ED?  I'm guessing there is an internal dev roadmap please can someone take a one minute look and confirm either way?

If not am I better posting on the Russian fronting forums if this hasn't been asked as yet as not seen any contribution to this thread as yet from ED?

@NineLine @BIGNEWY Please can one of you clarify will George Ai be able to visually ID and classify friendly or hostile units unlike Petrovich upon EA release.

We have said for early access

  • Multi-crew. A second crew member can be another player or the "George" AI 

    During early access George will be refined and tweaked, I can not say what function will be ready and what won't be for George currently, it very much depends on testing. 
    Please be patient as soon as we are ready we will do a video about George AI.

Thank you at least we can make an informed choice now that their are no firm commitments.

Note this really should be a day one release even for EA, having players in MP that think everything is enemy is going to create problems.

At least in the apache you can have the TADS view on one of the mfd’s and use your helmet display to see where “George” and the TADS is looking, so you are way better off than in the Hind, and if you got a decent amount of SA you should be able to differentiate between bluefor or redfor and avoid blue on blue.

If the AI works "properly" (as in how a real CPG operates), he should be LRFD'ing and storing each target in the TSD before engaging (unless rapidly engaging something in self defense for example), so I imagine you get a better handle on what the AI is targeting by looking at stored targets in the TSD, and maybe even an option to be able to control which of the stored targets you want the AI to attack through a simple number press or something? Just spitballing here and throwing out ideas.
