I tried a search to see if anyone else is having this issue but it none of the search criteria produced results.

The Problem.  Since 2.7 whenever I go near a target area with lots of shacked ground units my FPS tanks.  You can see from the signature my machine is not short of grunt but my FPS drops to low teens (I saw 10 the other day) but if I turn my head and look the other way the FPS comes back up to somewhere near normal for the server/mission I am in.  I don’t get the same problem when the ground units are mostly intact, only when they are mostly damaged.  The FPS drops as the object count (LCTRL+Pause/Break twice) rises.  It is as if damaged units and or craters consist of many more objects than undamaged units!

Has anyone else seen this behaviour?  Any solutions?

Most likely caused by craters, since they are mad crazy performance heavy. Has been reported, but sadly not much has been done yet.

- Jack of many DCS modules, master of none.

- Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS.

I was flying around in the blackshark 30-32 fps for about 30 mins testing an over clock...turned on the targeting system and dropped to 7..and stayed there....

just to be clear I have NEVER overclocked a gpu ever in the 20 plus years flying ED products...until this last 2 patches
