The game still has the same models from 20 years ago. And its very difficult to do missions with the same 4-5 viable objects for years now.

The game needs lots of new civilian and military objects. If you look at the encyclopedia and take 1 minute to look them you would think you're playing a 90's game.

Most of the statics are very dated and I cant make missions with cows and "beer bombs".

This is clearly just a lack of imagination. 😛

But seriously, yes. Even as a low-hanging fruit, there are so many standard map objects that could conceivably be re-made or repurposed as placeable static objects that would let us decorate our missions to a much higher degree. Just take the various airport objects strewn about the maps: air planes that exist in no other format; radar and radio installations; various support vehicles, revetments around spawn points, etc etc etc.

Granted, some of the more interesting ones (the artillery positions on the Syria map, some of the more bespoke and area-specific buildings, civilian decorative aircraft) are available only on for-pay maps, and I would venture to guess that there's an argument to be made that not everyone could/would/should get those since that would represent a pretty significant increase in base game size and also give away assets for free... but still -- they're there already, so it shouldn't be a whole lot of extra work to give mission-makers the opportunity to place the stuff they've bought already.

Its very difficult to make a mission because everytime I think of an objective and look at the objects DCS has right now, its like, "here we go again, anoooother coms tower", or "another HQ".

There're some good statics like the Gas Platform or Oil Rig that were added since a few years, but for example the Tech Combine is awesome for a mission but its VERY old.

DCS needs big structures that can be good objectives, like embassies and a few gubernamental buildings.

Agree 🙂

This seems like modest request considering there are several mods with this already.

But why not use them ? .... Cause it`s better to have them implemented in the game so that people can avoid downloading mods to join your server.

Absolutely agree with this and have thought so for a long time. It would add so much to the immersion and to potential 3rd party campaign content, and yet cost relatively little. I mean, amateur 3D artists can do this stuff in their spare time and they do it well.

I really hope ED have factored this into their plans for the dynamic campaign. It would be such a waste of all the resources being spent on that if, on starting the dynamic campaign for the first time, we suddenly realise all the targets are low-polygon Tech Combines and Comms towers. Or worse, the 'railway station' that is completely indistinguishable from any other generic building 😂

The problem of mods is everyone needs to download the mod and install it, they sometimes cause crashes and they don't have a "dead" model so if you use them for targets the model won't change when it gets destroyed.
