Track files used to work fine, suddenly they don’t

I know this is a commonly known topic, but I have a slightly different question on this.

I fly the Hornet 99% of the time, and never had issues with tracks not working. They have always been very reliable whether in SP or MP. All of the sudden, perhaps 2 or 3 weeks ago, all that ended. I can’t get a single track file to ever properly recreate anything. Events that never even came close to happening are displayed, even if the file is only 4 minutes long.

Has anyone else had this happen, where you previously had no problems with this issue and then suddenly that all changed? Can it be fixed? Thank you in advance.

I don't own F-18, but yeah, it's "normal" for some modules which were "track-reliable" previously to become unreliable (or vice versa) after a patch for a couple of next game versions, then to become OK a few months later - there is no rule here.

Well, there is one rule - tracks are not backwards compatible, so watching / capuring some older ones might require reverting back to relevant, older game verion.

I’ve noticed that 2.7 tracks are more susceptible to desyncing when microstutters or lots of mission triggers are involved. A trackfile that replays normally will break if I take frequent screenshots without pausing, for example. A replay that does not activate certain triggers in the mission will not break while the same module in the same mission activating triggers will break it.
