So...... I've got DCS working great with my system. I'm on VR. Single player works amazingly well. With multiplayer I am having the worst stuttering I feel like I'm going to have a seizure! Is this normal or is something wrong on my end? Anyways, any insight is greatly appreciated!

It is known that MP is more demanding for the PC but that depends on the mission and players online. What's you hardware? Try to lower your settings and see how it helps.

This may sound silly - the stuttering: when does it start? Immediately on mission start, or when you change an airframe or start another mission? I've also seen this stuttering, and for me it seems to happen when I change into another aircraft, or start the next mission (and my computer is hosting the mission). To me it looks like a memory management issue, with textures and models not being freed.

Also, is it more pronounced when using maps like Syria (it is with me)? What airframes are you using (when I switch to the Hind after flying the Huey in Syria it's a 90% likelihood that stuttering ensues)

See this thread. Tips on freeing VRAM and symlinks eliminated my stutters on GS, even with old 4670k with 16Gb DDR3:
