Im mucking about with the ME and have placed a helipad close to Senaki. In many places on the map I am finding that I am unable to move it. It kinda sticks and i need to zoom out and move the mouse to another point away from the area to get it move.. In other locations its fine. Moreover there appears to be no reason. Terrain of map objects do not seem to be an issue. Itll sit in the middle of forest in one area but wont sit on a plain in another.

Ive attached a simple Causauses miz file with a heliport and 2 zones, one with an issue and one without.

Be greatful if someone could confirm if they experience the same of if its just on my end.

Thanks

It appears that the farp icon cannot be moved over steep terrain... hills.

EDIT: Sorry, I should have said I tested and confirmed your finding. This is normal because farps cannot be placed on the side of steep terrain.

Yes, FARPs are supposed to be placed on relatively flat terrain.

Whenever you want to place a FARP on top of a hill, simply change your static category: you'll be able to move the static wherever you want. Once your static is at the right place, change it back to "Heliports".

Yup - it was me being a dumb ass -  It normall clicked and placed FARPs and helippads so even id the surrounding areas were steep I never noticed. This time I was dragging them about. Good - as long as its not me.

Thanks for checking and confirminging what i was doing wrong.
