I'm using a set of VR Optician lenses, good quality, comes in a nice box, each lens comes in it's own little bag. No regrets.

Thanks, I just looked at their site. It says use a far perscription, not a reading perscription? I need glasses to view my PC monitor properly, which is approx 1m away from my face in normal use. Will I benefit from the inserts do you think? Or can anyone advise?

System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.

Well if you wear glasses and are near sighted you should get the prescription Lenses. if you are Farsighted you should not need them. All I really know is I am nearsighted and need the prescription lenses.

You'll only benefit visually if your optician says you need a far prescription.

However, plain lenses can still be a benefit particularly if you opt for the "blue light protection" coating which supposedly protect your eyes from a certain frequency range of blue light which can harm your eyes at close distance. They also project your headset lenses and I find they steam up less.

Most VR headsets focus at about 2 metres. So if you need glasses to clearly see objects at that or a further distance, then you need prescription lenses for VR.

OK, thanks all, have ordered a set at my intermediate perscription, as at 2 m, I defintely need glasses assistance to see clearly. Its better the further away it gets, so lets see how that helps....

I hope you did the right thing.
Although you're eyes are almost in contact with the headset lenses, you need lenses to see sharp in the distance, not close up (always mess up the meaning of far or near sighted so i don't use that).
