Ghostrider36 Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Hi everyone. After a lengthy hiatus flying the hog, I have updated to latest version of DSC World 2.7 and purchased the A-10C ii Tank killer module as well as the Persian gulf terrain. I thought I'd also add the Persian freedom campaign for good measure too. I have however experienced nothing but frequent crashes at random times whilst attempting to fly either the training missions or the Persian freedom campaign. It happens generally after the jet is configured and either during taxi or even after take off in the Campaign. I had recently upgraded my Ram to 32gig, as well as added a 500gig NVME M.2 drive and moved my entire DCS world installation into the drive. After spending many countless hours trawling this forum for possible solutions to fix it, I have decided to upload my crash files in the hope some of you here may make some sense of it. Please find attached Crash files. Appreciate any help with this. Kind regards, dcs.20211213-022444.crash dcs.20211213-022444.log dxdiag.txt

Ghostrider36 Posted December 14, 2021 Author Posted December 14, 2021 Hi Flappie, Thank you for your reply. No my RAM, CPU, GPU isn't overclocked. Ill try uninstalling/reinstalling the GPU driver and report back with my findings. I have renamed my saved games folder as backup and will restart DCS so it creates a new saved games folder. Thanks again!
Ghostrider36 Posted December 14, 2021 Author Posted December 14, 2021 Hi Flappie, I uninstalled and ran a clean of the GPU driver using ddu and then reinstalled the latest NVidia gpu driver. I ran the campaign again and it crashed during cockpit startup procedures. Please find new crash logs. Thought i was onto a winner with the driver unistall/reinstall. Appreciate your help. dcs.20211214-023742.crash dcs.20211214-023742.log dxdiag.txt
Flappie Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Ok, I see it's still the same thing. Please take advice from this page: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/startup/#3312253 ---
skypickle Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 apparently this is a problem in many games. It has plagued DCS for several versions now. Has to do with Windows becoming impatient with lengthy calculations. Fix has worked for some 4930K @ 4.5, 32g ram, TitanPascal
