Boomer_G-Loc Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 The other day I was watching a video on YouTube trying to learn how to set up cameras and a guy was discussing snap views. He said to save, use the keystroke [ALT] [numpad 0]. It then saved this crazy distorted view, terribly off center and low in the cockpit which I can't seem to get rid of. I've been going crazy moving my head around with the TrackIR, trying to relocate the view and resaving, but it just keeps getting worse. It is so far out of whack now I cannot fly anymore.... Is there a way to go back to the original factory default view, just looking straight forward in the cockpit view again? Thanks,

Just delete the SnapViews.lua file from the saved games\dcs\config\view folder. Also, when defining Snapviews, you must disable the headtracker in order to get better results (just while creating the snapview, re-enable it afterwards). 1 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

I just start DCS, load the mission, put on the VR headset and then I press the recenter view key, when I'm sitting straight with HOTAS and looking straight ahead. BoneDust Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Thanks, but that's not what I mean. I would like to change the default view to my liking. Default meaning the view the re-center sets. I find it a bit too far back from the cockpit front. Easiest is to lean back and reset view there. When you get back to normal position you'll be closer. Did not try in VR but snapview change should work too. https://www.airgoons.com/w/DCS_Reference/Snap_Views 1 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
