Ducksen Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Hi, could we please have the option in the special menu to select factory new cockpit look? Some like the aircraft worn and some like it new and fresh, and readable. I know, I know, it is beautifully made, and much work went into it to make it look good. and job WELL DONE! However, having the option for a factory new look with all labels readable would go a long way for me. And yes, there are modded textures etc. I just want it to be a part of the module from you Heatblur. Regards Ducksen 4

Ghostb3D Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 As a texture artist myself I’d say - it’s a lie. Having all the source materials it’s possible to finish in two weeks of 8hrs a day work. 1

This will give you no valuable information. You should know that you can’t compare the time span from start to finish for someone working on and off in their free time and unrelated to the project and presumably unfamiliar with it, to a professional with intimate knowledge and experience and working full time.

Exactly. Thank you @DSplayer! @draconus I was talking about full time job, 8hrs a day like most of the 3D Artists/Texture artists are working normally. I had experience of working on the aircrafts and helicopters for the Warthunder (of course fidelity is lower but the pipelines are generally the same). I can believe in six to eight months on the whole cockpit works, including modeling (cleaning the photoscans, retopology etc), uv unwrapping, baking, texturing. 1
RustBelt Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 The thing you aren't taking into account is the people who would do the clean cockpit textures are tasked with other stuff across 3(?) other active projects plus the Tomcat and Viggen? It's as much schedule availability as actual work time. Of course, they also were sure nobody would ever go through and change all of Jesters recordings and well.......Hobbyists don't work to EU work hour regulations so......ya know....
