I'd be surprised if the frame rate had any bearing on how often the buttons were checked. More or less any simulation or fast-paced game developed in the last 20 years has separated game logic update rate (checking inputs, updating object positions etc) from frame rate (how often the display is updated). Multithreading is a thing...

My observations are from comparing different PCs. New ones versus old ones. Also ich you check export scripts you see that all input/output is checked during frames.
Mouse input is a complete different thing. There you absolutely right. But finally only the developers could give us the answer.

Also to say that the trim is depending on the FPS of each individual computer. Signals from buttons only checked each frame.

It's not the trim moves at a constant rate.

Export script has variable update rate, but not devices in the aircraft. These are fixed update rates.

Gentlemen! Tell me, the plane constantly pulls slightly to the left, even without weapons. Trying to trim leads to the opposite effect, the plane starts to pull to the right. What am I doing wrong, and how can I make the plane fly straight?

Which trim - Yaw or Roll?

One or two taps on the Roll trim usually does it.

by roll. Even with a single press of the trimmer to the right, the plane begins to roll to the right. That is, it is not possible to catch the center with the trimmer.

Well...

Have found Two(2) quotes from actual A-4C/E Combat Jocks.

Both said that the aircraft is very maneuverable, and fun to fly - but either impossible, or for not very long, to trim hands off.

Has analog mechanical controls and a 720°/sec. roll rate.

No free lunch in Physics.

On that note: Great Job A-4E-C Community on the Flight Model!

Did you try to change the trim speed in the special settings?

AI Dive Bombing Issues:

They roll-in nice from 12-14,000 feet, pull through to a good dive angle and onto the target, very sharp.

Then they undershoot the dive angle/target, pull off target, and climb back to altitude.

Several times.

Veteran/Ace pilots.

Please advise.

AI Iron Bomb Release Sequence Issue:

All and Four/Half are fine.

Pairs: 8(Mk. 82 slicks) + 2 drop tanks

- C/L-C

- C/L-L

- L/Wing+C/L-R/Rear

-R/Wing+C/L-R/Forward

Asymmetrical - after the third drop, until the final.

Please advise.

Note: Have not tested the player sequence.

A-4E-C: Main Tires Coefficient of Friction

The Differential Breaking/Nose Wheel Castering is much improved.

Great work, DevComm.

Wondering if the Tire Friction Coefficient shouldn't be a little higher though, maybe 20-30%.

Seems to want to skid around the flight deck at just a bit over pedestrian speeds.

Not unmanageable, once the envelope is understood.

Just seems a little fussy, especially when maneuvering w/ Differential Breaking/Nose Wheel Castering in tight spots, lacking the tow-bar guidance from the deck crew.

Great li'l Scooter.

ver 2.3

1. The Shrike model disappears (or is invisible) when you re-arm with a Shrike.
Solved - old loadout sets were using AGM-45A. Had to change them to AGM-45B.

2. L-Shift+1,2,4,5 during re-arming to select Shrike desired seeker head response for each station does not seem to work. How is it done step by step?

Thanks

Community A-4E-C v2.3 - 'On Speed' AOA.

Really enjoy your 'Scooter',

... but its 'On Speed' AOA is just behind the Stall/Power curve.

This results in:

Excess/Insufficient power requirement to maintain 'On Speed', causing Pitch/Speed change, instead on simply altitude.

A bubble effect late in the approach, if/when the wing hits its 'On Speed', and increases lift while reducing drag.

Lands nice a little hot/high, but w/o the AOA, there is no simple indication as to just how hot/high.

Please advise.

Great A/C.

Upped the Pitch and Roll joystick curves from 19 to 21.

Took all the massless twitch out of the controls.

Precision flying is now functional.

Really flies nice, especially around the boat.

Sorry noob A-4 player here.  I'm noticing in the Tanker Refueling process that as I slow down I get this random but repetitive "thump" - a sound and a little vibration in the cockpit.  Usually if I throttle down alot.   What is this?  I looked for it in these pages but did not find the answer.

Greatest free thing I ever got.  Thanks.

It's the spring-loaded leading edge slats moving back and forth as your AoA changes.
Cheers!

@Scotch75 Thanks dude. Can I ask another question.  I can't get the refueler (C130) to drop the basket and the hose.  I think I have all the radio stuff worked out.  I pull up nice and close but I can't get the F1 menu to work and initiate contact.  The kneeboard checklist has not helped either.  What keys am I missing?

Have you reported "Ready Pre-contact"? And has the reply been "Cleared contact". If that has happened, and the basket still does not drop, then I'm not sure why. You may have to check in the Mission Editor - Advanced waypoint properties to see that the C-130 has been assigned the refuelling task, and in fact, that it has enough fuel to give.
Cheers!

The "\" key is only an intercom for when you are on the ground and is not actually using the radio. You'll need to search for PTT or MICROPHONE or something (not at my PC) and bind a key press to it. Mine is "LALT \", which will actuate the radio to interact with the AI. You can also assign a HOTAS button to this to use as your PTT for the rafio if you are on a multiplayer server to use VOIP/SRS.
Cheers!
