So for me, ReShade version 6.2.0 works in VR without any problems.
Simply select the OpenXR option when installing ReShade.
When DCS starts, ReShade is automatically loaded and is immediately visible in VR (Pimax Crystal).

In VR you can't fade it in and out on the monitor like you can in 2D.
Changes to the filters etc. have to be made and saved in 2D.

Then restart DCS and the changes you made will be immediately visible in VR again.

I'll give this a shot. You don't use the vr plug in either?

You only check off openxr. You don't check off both direct x 11 AND open xr?

My reshade on 2d only works on the Dvs MT shortcut on my desktop. However i have always used the open beta shortcut which jas all of my hotas setting in amd vr settings. I know theres no open beta now, i thought they were merged? So ising the ooen beta shortcut i dont get the option to open reshade... ? And if i open MT shortcut id have to setup every jet/ aircraft again and all my vr settings. 😕😢

the files still exist, nothing was changed (openbeta was not deleted, just the difference between openbeta and stable) ... and yes you have to install reshade for each exe you want it to run with

Ah ok. So if i download reshade again and set it as open beta it should work. Do i need to delete the mt  reshade link?

Also i assume my open beta shortcut and the MT shortcut are now the same in the way of stability and function?

please understand i have never been able to get Reshade to work in VR under OpenXR. but reshade is store with each exe so if you installed it on MT then it will ONLY work on MT.

by default DCS now uses MT if you are on the current release.

I dont understand what you mean when you say "reshade link" or "are now the same in the way of stability or function"....

exactly, I installed Reshade 6.2.0 and nothing else...

No additional tool is required. During installation, simply select direct X10/11 and open XR.
and very important that the correct path to DCS - MT.exe is selected during installation.

That's it.

If you right-click on the DCS shortcut, you will see the path to DCS.exe and can determine if you are using the MT version - if the path leads to the bin-MT folder, then you are using the MT version.

I am still using the Open Beta version and Reshade 6.2.0 works without problems in VR.

Something wrong with your Reshade settings, My squadron mate had the same issue. I can see the changes immediately, without restarts.

Be great to see this working, I've not used it in DCS for a long time (pre VR). Anyone have any preset configs they'd be happy to share?

Okay I just tried 6.2.0... it works on the 2d mirror, it does not work in the headset?   My test was install as above, set to Monochrome  (because its simple to tell), exit DCS and then restart and put on the headset ... and in full living colour ... so my assumption was maybe its a ordering API layer issue in Open XR, tried it first and second and last no difference, still full living colour?

are you by any chance using SteamVR  for OpenXR ?

Hi, unfortunately OpenXR Toolkit stopped working for me today 😞 due to Meta v.68 🤬. What are your impressions of Reshade now?

Apparently it supports OpenXR. I need sharpness option + some saturation. Are there any problems with Reshade + OXR in DCS MT (no SteamVR)?

No, I use the Pimax Crystal with Open XR. Nothing else... I'm sorry it doesn't work for you. What VR glasses do you use?

What just occurred to me is that I also use the Open XR Toolkit.

Seems so, lots of people seem to be stuck at this step. Mostly non steam vr users too. I see the add-on I downloaded and it recognizes fine now, in the main menu it works in 2d and makes the changes immediately in my HMD on the menu screen. Now as soon as I load a mission, single player or multiplayer it is auto disabled. I got so close lol... SO CLOSE. I'm using oculus app, link cable, quest 3. I have a 4090 don't know if I would see performance impact but the user file I downloaded (Colour Grade Profile [reshade] v.3.0 (digitalcombatsimulator.com) looks AMAZING in 2d at least.

https://vrtoolkit.retrolux.de/install.html this is the toolkit I used to see the add-on section which changes the reshade in my HMD, but only in the menu...

I got it working, I will try and make a video maybe tomorrow, I tried to get a video now but the whole time my audio wasn't recording so I am defeated and will try again and upload.

HOWEVER I used the vrtoolkit, on the "addon" menu (that exists when the vrtool  kit is installed) at the bottom there is a button that says "sync", check that off,  when that was activated, ANYTHING changed in 2d changed in VR.

Lastly, I could not get it to change in game or online, I would do all the changes in the menu, seeing the change, and then join a instant action to see the effects live. This worked over and over again. I do believe I had some performance inpact, but I was testing in and out so quick, so I'd have to compare with vanilla, and then a few reshades.

Like I said, I will try and do a basic video tomorrow and upload, but I restarted my PC and it still works this way.

I have a second DCS PC with an HP G2. I just installed Reshade 6.2.0 for testing and it works again in VR without any problems.

Only Open XR and Open XR Toolkit. No additional software installed.

It works for me, short test.

Of course it's worse than with OpenXR Toolkit, the settings are only for 2D, there's nothing in VR 😞 but it works (also not so good like OXR Toolkit).

You can do settings on 2D only, you will see effect on 2D VR picture but NOT on the picture in goggles but this button brings me settings to VR, so for example here I see white saturation on 2D VR window and in VR too.

Make a change, recheck sync at the bottom of the addon. Works now for me, I make changes in the menu, and works in game. Can't make changes in game, but the effects changed in menu moves over. Hope this helps someone else.

Hells YES, I am happy to help.

Share any effects you think are dope. I have the color grade 3.0 I linked earlier, some places it looks amazing, in low light it's quite dark. I'm scared I will spend too much time testing effects lol

You using this https://vrtoolkit.retrolux.de/install.html ?this adds the addon tab. After selecting the fx, turn off sync in the addon tab and turn it back on. It's all I'm doing now and it's working. Sorry hope it helps.
