Fakum Posted May 10 Posted May 10 I just installed this and I have always had DCS set too "Run as administrator". This app will not work if it is set to that. Have you all had to disable "run as admin" for this app as well? Fakum Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Somewhere over the years, and I have no recollection, It was advised somewhere for something, and I just stuck with it. I will change it out of that mode. Thanks for the response in both locations. 1 Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle
Habu_69 Posted May 11 Posted May 11 I do not run DCS or Open Kneeboard as Administrator; however I have UAC set to lowest in Win 11. When starting Open Kneeboard I get a warning about running it as admin but, ignoring the warning, the program runs normally.

The lowest setting will silently run some things as admin, even though they would run as non admin. This is possibly why you are getting this message. 1 AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
Habu_69 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 I do understand and accept the risks, but I detest Windoze' constant nagging at the higher UAC settings.
chamol Posted May 19 Posted May 19 I am having a very weird issue lately and I could not find any related with it. First of all, details about the way I use it: - I fly in VR - Ma set up is a Pimax crystal using OpenXR (and quad view) - I use OKB for several month - to fix my issue, i tried to repair OKB, uninstall totally OKB (all files), repair DCS and update my graphic card drivers (RTX 4090) This is the description of my issue: As soon as OKB is displayed all textures in DCS disappear. - Launch DCS in VR without OKB -> no problem - Launch DCS in VR with opened OKB -> no texture in DCS (seems to be the only issue) - launch DCS with OKB launched but not displayed in DCS -> no problem - launch DCS with OKB launched and display OKB in DCS -> texture disappear as soon as OKB is displayed. I contact the team under discord and got a technical answer like an issues with "layers" (sorry i am not technical at all) but no solution so it seems that it is not an easy one to solve. The idea of the post is to share if anybody experienced that because I could not find anything like during my research.
actually_fred Posted May 19 Posted May 19 You also received instructions on how to collect logs and ask for help, which you have not followed. It is not possible to provide any concrete suggestions if you do not follow the steps you have already been provided. My projects: OpenKneeboard - VR and non-VR kneeboard with optional support for drawing tablets; get help HTCC - Quest hand tracking for DCS; get help If you need help with these projects, please use their 'get help' links above; I'm not able to track support requests on these forums.

It was just the fact that the issue i have did not seem to be something "usual or known". I have read the procedure (not sure i can manage) and your message on discord and will try to post it to help others. EDIT: I post all the fils (dcs log and debug log) in discord Edited May 19 by chamol
