IJNAkagi Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Hello there, this appears to be just another everyday issue that is most likely solved with a simple solution. However, I think this time it's something more than that. I'm currently experiencing a problem that I've never seen before. Even though all clients and me run on the same Open Beta Version, both according to the in-game version name and the log file, even though the port 10308 is correctly forwarded with TCP and UDP, including backup forwarding and even though we tripple checked that the clients are using the correct IP with the port at the end, they are still not able to connect to my server. I'm a Computer Science Student at the University of Hamburg, so I have already tried many unusual methods to try and fix the problem. Those include but are not limited to: -Restarting the Game/PC -Trying it from a different machine (No Success, clients still cannot connect = Router issue) -Restarting the Router -Resetting the Router -Disabling the Router and PC Firewalls -Forcing an IPv4 change -Deleting/Re-forwarding the port openings As I said, there are multiple clients from different endpoints. So it's not the fault of "one client" either. The version we all run is 19402 deliberately. We have tried updating to the newest version and using the DCS Updater Utility to move to an older version. We have double checked the net code and the version number in the log files. We have all run full repairs and of course I also reinstalled the game. I have never ever seen something like this and I simply don't know how it's possible that the client still gets a "Server offline" notification. I doubt any of you could help with this, but I am so desperate that it's worth a shot 1 1
Wychmaster Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Have you tried connecting to one of your friends or a public server? Does that work?
WOPR Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 1. Use https://x51squadron.com/dcs_servers to verify that your server is showing up. If it doesn't there's likely a lot more work to do to determine what's happening. 2. Whether it does or doesn't, verify that both port forwarding and port triggering for DCS are setup correctly. The requirement to setup port triggering depends on your router. 2

IJNAkagi could you share it please? here: - we can see the server with https://x51squadron.com/dcs_servers X51squadron browser finds the server when I run it, what made me thing that ports were being forwarded alright, but even with the firewall, disabled DCS MP browser can't see it - direct IP connection also failed - I tried with DMZ and no-DMZ simple port forwarding* * ports 443, 10308-309 are forwarded with TCP and UDP If my friend runs the server, we can see it with DCS MP browser, connect and run the mission without problems (we're running the latest version) any ideas? 2
JD Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Same here. Me and my friend both have 10308 port opened, but we both see "Server offline" message. I can see my server in DCS web server list, but he can't. I tried connection via router and directly to PC, still nothing. We can play on other servers, but that's not what we need

We can play on other servers, but that's not what we need Make sure your ISP is not providing you a connection trough CG-NAT, to host a server over internet you must have: public IP Address 10308 TCP and UDP port forwarding set up in your router, that point your internal LAN IP address of server machine 10308 TCP and UDP port open in firewall of your server All the clients must be on the same exact DCS version ( to be fair you need same version only when net protocol change, but to simplify the concept, make sure you are on the same exact version including all digit, i.e. 2.7.18.30348 ) FlighRIG => CPU: RyZen 5900x | RAM: 64GB Corsair 3000Mhz | GPU: nVIDIA RTX 4090 FE | OS Storage: SSD NVMe Samsung 850 Pro 512GB, DCS Storage: SSD NVMe Sabrent 1TB | Device: Multipurpose-UFC, VirPil T-50, TM WARTHOG Throttle, TrackHat, MFD Cougar with screen. I have added the ports to the Port Forwarding section of my router config, to no avail. Now I read your comment on Port Triggering, noticed a Port Triggering section of my new router, tried it, and it works. Thank you! 2
