TIR will not center

My TIR was working good. I'm not sure if I changed something in the sim settings but it will not recenter now. It works okay I just can't recenter it with the recenter button. Anythoughts? :)

Mi TIR does that with many games. I just press right control and the button I have assigned for reset (in my case RT-Ctrl and ScrLK) Then I do the same with Alt and the reset button and Shift and the reset button. Normally the reset button works again after I do that. Hope this helps, I am not sure what causes the problem to begin with.

I'm trying to follow your button sequence mate???? My recenter button works good and it was working in game. It seems like the game is slowing developing problems, but it is a legit copy I bought. TIR centering was working ingame now it's not. Lastest drivers are installed.

Mine does this also. When it is doing this, go into the TIR profile to the hotkeys and try and reassign center to F12 again, and you will see the key come up as Ctrl+F12.

 

So it appears its some glitch, when this happens just hit Ctrl+F12, and it usually goes away and then F12 works.

I think you have a profile problem.

 

1.) Open TIR software.

2.) Go to profiles.

3.) Look up black shark and see which profile it's selecting.

4.) Edit the profile that it uses and check that profile's key settings.

5.) Find or chose which key you want for centering.

6.) Load BS and try to center with the key you assigned or found.

So when this problem is happening, keep the game open and alt-tab to desktop and open the TIR software. Go to the profile and key settings. When you try to set the key, what comes up?

I've tried this before too. I am using keypad "5" as my recenter key. When I alt-tab out I can recenter no problem but when I go back in game it doesn't work. It was working, so I am currently uninstalling and reinstalling. This TIR issue and the issue I have with missions appears to be a problem only I am having...it's very frustrating :)

It doesnt make sense for it to work out of game but not in, by alt-tab. Is the trap option set? Did you delete the key binding for '5' in BS?

No, but it was working. I just reinstalled and I can now fly missions but my tool tip is in Russian again.

 

If I alt-tab out and recenter it recenters it in the game too. Problem is I shouldn't have to alt-tab out to recenter.

Hey BoneDust, I just installed BS on Vista and guess what, I get the same problem as you. However I remembered that I also had exactly the same issue with BoB2 in the past, and the workaround was to map the hotkeys to joystick buttons. I tried this in BS and it worked. It seems that the problem is not directly related to BS, I guess it is some kind of interference of the TIR and Saitek drivers. If this fix works for you as well, could you please tell us which Joystick you are using?

 

The tooltip language can be changed from the options menu.

Sorry about this suggestion, I don't mean to insult your intelligence. I only ask because I've done this myself since I also use '5' on the keypad.

 

Is Num Lock on? It would seem that you probably do because you say it works ok outside of the game. I sat at my computer going nuts trying to figure out why it wouldn't re-center. Turns out I had Num Lock off.

No, I mean that you should try to map the TrackIR hotkeys to joystick buttons and check if they work now.

I use F12 key in profile of Ch control manager for BS , IL2 or lockon to map centering.In il2 or LockOn such thing as centering lost never heppenes.When i exit from BS (after centering lost) & open TRir software ,heads also dont center by pressing F12 KEY on keyboard.The situation only changed when i reassign center key,by pressing key on joystick(that was mapped as F12) but now it began shown as Ctrl+F12 at TRir software window :shocking:

Tried to start it without TIR but still got same bug. No key input.

So it must be in vista ulti 64
