Multiplayer Servers

I'd love to try BS in a multiplayer environment but without Hyperlobby support I don't know where to go. Poor me :cry: . Can anyone post appropriate links? Thanks.

Open the blue DCS MP icon.

 

Go to Options, and change your name.

 

Go to client. You should see the in game browser. By default it has LAN selected, so you will need to change it to internet. Now you should get a list of servers. Unfortunately there is a slight bug, and you only get the IP data. Just hit Refresh, and you will game the rest of the data.

I admit HL has served this community well over the years and still is with Lockon. But you should take the benefits into consideration. Less memory and bandwidth cycles since at this point, DCS has no need for third party extensions / applications.

 

But I admit, ED if you can look into this in the near future? Having the ability of a general chat area before joining a server would be a great and surely appreciated asset for multiplayer sessions.

Maybe we need to formally ask Ed to see if he can contact Jiri and/or give us the files necessary to send to Jiri? At least get an Aknowledgement from Ed he will try? Do we need a new thread for this? Do we need more people to get in on this inquiry to show Ed lots of people want HyperLobby support? (I no longer see an e-mail address for contact with Jiri@HyperLobby and hear he no longer communicates in his website/forum, but that's a rumor).

SimHQ have a dedicated TS channel for BS players that do not play on the SimHQ server.
