Im thinking of making some training missions for the Apache on the Nevada NTTR map. But I’d like to know where are Apaches based here? On Nellis? Also what free fire ranges are used which I can use in the DCS Nevada map?

There are no Apache units based in Nevada. All of the airfields on the NTTR map are either US Air Force or civilian, and none of the NTTR ranges are used by the US Army.

The closest would be Fort Irwin/NTC to the southwest, in California just north of Barstow, but that is in the low-res area of the map with no structures. No AH-64's are actually based there (they just do training exercises there), but that doesn't stop you from doing stuff there in DCS.

what are the training ranged for life fire exercises on the NTTR map?

If you select the map (chart) layer of the map screen, you can zoom in and see the property lines for the weapon ranges, and markings for targets.

That being said, what are the training ranged for life fire exercises on the NTTR map?

Anything that is numbered in the 60 or 70 series, as well as EC East, EC West, EC South, FAC-A and FAC-B are weapon ranges.  The remainders are sectors within the MOAs or are part of Restricted Airspace areas but aren't weapon ranges, like the R-4807, R-4808, and R-4809 sectors.

The weapon ranges are within Restricted Airspace sectors as well, but I'm just speaking to how to identify the labels on each sector on the F10 map or mission editor.

As luck would have it, with the initial release, there is an AH-64D unit participating in a RED FLAG exercise. 3 x IA missions and a SP mission. Who knew?…😎
