P3CFE Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 With APU running and moving the cyclic, the whole length of the rotorblades are moving up and down in outside view. Only the control rods, swash plate and blade angles should visually be moving. Thanks,

ED Team Raptor9 Posted March 21, 2022 ED Team Posted March 21, 2022 I can confirm this is happening and looks bizarre, if not funny. Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man. DCS Rotor-Head
IzeHouze Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Well, they do move, but not quite to the extreme your video is showing. Just Collective up and down really fast and see if it will flap it's way into flight. Actual/Expected movement https://youtu.be/u4s1T0uztF8?t=13
Magic Zach Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 I just started getting in the 64 and this was one of the first impressions I got in the first half hour of it. It looks bizarre. Surprised it's been a bug for this incredibly long...in a few months it'll be a year. P3CFE Posted October 31, 2023 Author Posted October 31, 2023 It was mentioned allready a long time ago, but the blades of the main rotor move up end down with cyclic movement when the apu is started and the rotor is not turning . It is a very unrealistic sight. Only the blade angle should increase/decrease if the cyclic is moved. If the rotor is at flight RPM the changing blade angle wil make the rotor cone tilt, but not if the rotor is stationary. Hope it wil be fixed ..it looks very unrealistic and strange 1
Belphe Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 I've been begging for the rotor cone animation to be re-enabled for months. We had it for the first few months after release and then it was disabled. No official statement on the matter Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Eagles787 Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 One year later and still the rotor disk animations haven't been fixed Both stationary and at operating RPM the simulations are not correct. Since this is modelled correctly on other helicopter modules, it should not take this long to have it working correctly for the Apache as well.
