Demonloads Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Hey All How do i lock my tads to the target i have got in my crosshairs Thanks
Solution Looney Posted March 21, 2022 Solution Posted March 21, 2022 Short answer is, you can't (yet). Long answer, you can stabilize the sight somewhat with the LMC switch, it won't be perfect but there it is. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commodore 64 | MOS6510 | VIC-II | SID6581 | DD 1541 | KCS Power Cartridge | 64Kb | 32Kb external | Arcade Turbo
Demonloads Posted March 21, 2022 Author Posted March 21, 2022 Thought that may be the case as i have been using freeze and lmc just wanted to confirm that you couldn't lock it up bit odd that its not in already tbh Thanks anyway bud
Wychmaster Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 For static targets, you can store its location as a point, make it the acquisition source and then slave the tads to it. 2
francesco Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 When you say "yet", you mean that will be possible in a future update? Thanks!

S. Low Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 (edited) Image auto track or tracker. But just get good with LMC. If you press LMC once without moving joystick it’ll “lock” in position Edited April 12, 2022 by S. Low 1

I had trouble as well.. Do u have to hold down LMC? Or a button press sufficient Edited April 12, 2022 by hannibal find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
Floyd1212 Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 You toggle LMC mode on and off with a button press. When in LMC mode, you want to make tiny adjustments to alter the movement of the crosshairs. It's almost like a trim mode for the crosshairs. It will continue in a straight line when you have no input on the axis, and you can nudge it in any direction to change the motion vector. I found setting a curve on the axis for the mini stick on my XBox controller (maybe 20?) and a small dead zone was cruicial to getting LMC to work nicely, otherwise tiny adjustments were impossible, and it would wander on its own because of drift on the analog stick.
St4rgun Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 (edited) When LMC is OFF then you change the position of the TADS crosshair. When LMC is ON then you change the speed of the crosshair. Upon pressing the LMC to set it ON sets the crosshair speed to zero which makes the crosshair stationary ("ground stabilized"). When the chopper is moving then this is an easy way to "fix" a position after trying to chase it with LMC off. Just don't forget that with LMC ON it needs really miniscule movement to fine tune the speed of the crosshair. During LMC mode the motion of the chopper is taken into account to stabilize the crosshair motion.
