Are there going to be any fixes for non-working turbines? They don't spin at all right now. It looks very crappy and unfinished. The lights don't work also they look like 8-bit single color green things right now. The lights should be as nice as the ones from flight simulator 2004. But these two small details will determine whether or not I buy the add on. Why? Because they are so noticeable that it's hard to even get into the game with these problems.

Non-working turbines? What are you talking about? I can barely see turbines in the F-15, su-27, or any other plane. But I'm quite sure they DO spin. And lights? Please be more specific.

 

 

 

There are many other non-flyable aircraft that don't have spinning turbines. The flyable A-10 is the worst of them all. It does not spin it's like a very low-res non-functional skin. The Aircraft lights look like complete crap IMHO. There is just no way these can be acceptable. All I would like to see is some polished details that are very important. The A-10 engines are a mess you should be able to see the spinning turbines for at least the flyable aircraft. The aircraft lights should look like they do in real life and they should function the same. It's the small details that would make this game a lot better. The aircraft lights should at least match the real life colors and they should strobe. Look at the aircraft lights in FS2004 they are great. LOCK ON should blow away these aircraft lights but they don't even come close to doing so. :?

You could express your opinion in a more mature way... it would go a long way in getting a response... food for thought.

 

The Su-25T has a spinning first stage compressor and a spinning turbine... the lights are also much better on it as well.

Well one aircraft will be finished... :) What about the other aircraft? :( These really need some attention as well. Some small polishing for all aircraft in this game would go a long way. Maybe there will be a patch for ver 1.1 when it comes out that will address the realism issues and maybe overall polish up some of the code. :D *wishes*

Well, I can agree with you on the spinning fans. For lomac, or shall i say the A-10, the fan blades are basically a static skin texture. It is just plastered there and REALLY deminishes the sense of immersion right there. When viewing the hog from the front this really catches the eye and it is a noticable drawback. Im glad to hear it has been implemented into the 25...Hope they can mod it into the A10 one day.

 

However, I CANT agree with you about lomac's lights. First of all, can you furthere evaluate about WHAT you are talking about. What dont you like about lomac's lights? IMO lomacs lights far surpass FS9's because they actually WORK and cast lighting on other objects, aircrafts, buildings, ect. Fs9's are just a white texture that, if you actually look at it, doesnt really light the object up. FS9's is just a simple work around.

The things I don't like about the aircraft lights is that they are not colored correctly for realism. They don't have detail color to them they are just like light objects. They don't have diffrent modes and basically they look very unrealistic IMO. It's nice that they cast light on to other objects this is great. But this should be a secondary detail. The lights them selves don't even match with the real aircraft light colors and functions. After they made this then they could have added more detail in how the light casts on to other objects. The other lighting in LOCK ON is great I am really only talking about the aircraft lights.

 

I don't know it's just some thing that I think would add to the realism and overall quality of the SIM.

I think he meant the navigation lights.

 

The landing lights in Lomac look good, unlike in MSFS ;)

 

These are details however. I don't see why you wouldn't play a flightsim because the navigation lights aren't as good as in an other game, or the turbine blades don't spin ...

 

People are wishing for a million things in these forums. When will ED have time to implement them all? ;)

I'd have to say the lights are very much improved in 1.02 compared to 1.01. But it would be nice to have a switch in the pit to make them flash which you can do in Real life. The spinning compressor blades would be a nice look but I rarely observe them whilst playing.

Just stay in the cockpit view, it is the most realistic and immersive place for a hog pilot :P

 

I agree with the nav lights, they could be much better. Those on the su-25T are really great though.

implementation of standard nato nav lights would be a nice realism touch.

some off these pics are awesome, these

light effects would look great in lockon,

light reflection on aircraft body is a great effect,

note the f16 green light doing this, also the landing lights would

light up under the jets bright,....

 

really hope the dev team take note and add things like this later on...
