As the title says Steam vr crash quant
I run DCS OB since the last update 2.7.11.22211
with a window saying (steam has experienced a critical error)
I reinstalled steam vr but that didn't change anything.
need help please!!
And the worst is that in the meantime I can't use DCS Stable because it does the same thing.

I did a slow repair of dcs open beta but nothing happened.

when WMR starts and Steam vr also the tables shake and jerk and splash it crashes!!
Should I go back to the old version of open beta?

How do we go back to the previous version? from open beta

Maybe try this:

Gets rid of the Steam VR requirement.  For me it's massively improved performance.  It might help you with your issue.

Honestly too complicated for me even with the guide I could not do it and in addition it seems to me that even some still have problems with open xr install what to do???
Could you tell me how to return to the previous version of dcs open beta please??

Please attach your dcs.log file, @PLUTON ("Saved Games\DCS...\Logs_dcs.log"). We'll make it work.

If you're using SteamVR beta, you can try the regular SteamVR.

I agree, the guide is unnecessarily convoluted.  It really is a simple is placing the mod in a folder, and downloading a Windows store app.  Maybe look at it once you've overcome your current problem.  Bonne chance!

when I put my G2 on my head wmr starts and steam vr follows
and the window is impeccable and when dcs loads the steam vr window starts to shake and jerk then crashes and that since I did the update on Wednesday and even dcs stable does the same.
Why does it work overnight?? I see that the update.
I use the version of steam vr that the steam site offers

Here, sir flappie, I went back to the previous version and that did not improve my problem.
I repaired dcs open beta + stable, I reinstalled wmr and steam vr and each time I launch dcs either stable or ob steam vr crashes and a window tells me (steam vr has encountered a critical error) in short, it aut that I restart it at least 10/12 times so that from time to time it works 1 or 2 times.
But when it works it works well; smooth as butter 44 to 48 fps. What I would like is that it no longer crashes that's all I don't ask for more

OK, this was a useful test: it means your issue has nothing to do with the latest DCS update, I guess.

Let's concentrate on SteamVR since this is the one that crashes. Have you tried opting out of the SteamVR beta?

The version I have is the beta version 1.22.5 and there is a version 1.21.12 Otfix of March 16, 2022
but when I want to download steamvr it does not offer to choose they automatically put the hotfix and the 1.22.5 update. M. Flappie do you have a trick to have a non-beta steam vr version??

And how do we deactivate the beta version of steamvr???

Did a slow repair of DCS and a full deinstall of SteamVR and nothing worked.

SteamVR crashes, as soon the Jet is visible on desktop.

Yes, followed these instructions to deinstall SteamVR.

In some cases, removing SteamVR completely, including all settings, helps.
To do so, follow these steps:

Remove SteamVR from the Steam Library;
Manually delete the SteamVR folder from ...\Steam\steamapps\common
Delete the steamvr.vrsettings file from ...\Steam\config
Delete the lighthousedb.json file from ...\Steam\config\lighthouse
Install SteamVR

what I did but strange the file ( lighthousedb.json ) does not exist in Steam/config/lighthouse, I don't know why.
I will reinstall steamvr cleanly and see if ( lighthousedb.json ) now exists or not and if it works.
I'll tell you Mr. Flappie what happens.

No idea, I don't use VR.

I see there was sopme recent updates to Steam VR. Maybe there's a way to revert to a previous, stable version?

they updated my version with the latest update 10 mins ago
and it still doesn't work (Steam starts by seriously breaking them.

In French, go to "Paramètres" > "Jeux" > "Paramètres graphiques" (down below) and disable what is called "Planification de processeur graphique à accélération matérielle".

Thats was disabled before. Really think SteamVR has broken something with the latest Update.
