How to activare RLWR voice alerts?

How do I activate RLWR voice alerts? It's always active from a hot start but after cold starting the aircraft it stays silent so I'm missing some step somewhere. I have ensured RLWR is active , that the CMWS control panel switch is set to CMWS (not NAV), and that the ADF volume is turned up but it doesn't seem to have any effect. I must've misunderstood how that works.

I will double check that the RLWR volume isn 't turned all the way down but I was under the impression voice alerts where provided as a later addition using the ADF channel, which is why you need to switch between NAV (to hear the morse code from radio beacons) and CMWS, the latter providing the voice alerts. I assumed that the RLWR audio provided the classic "bleeps" and "boops" from the RWR whereas ADF is what provides voice?
Is that what I have misunderstood?

I can confirm that this knob is off when you cold start, and that it provide beeps boops and voice from the CMWS. Not yet familiar with the NAV mode.

CMWS/Nav Switch. Toggles ADF audio channel between CMWS threat reporting
when in CMWS mode, and ADF navaid audio when in NAV mode.

Ok, great! Seems I have almost understood the text in the manual but it's a bit unclear how the ADF audio channel is involved in the CMWS voice threat output system. I'll check the RLWR audio volume knob. That'll probably do the trick! Thanks!

CMWS is the Common Missile Warning System that was installed later on in the pilot cockpit and uses the ADF audio channel to warn of detected missile infrared signatures.
RLWR is the Radar and Laser Warning Reciever that is deeply integrated into the Apache and uses its own RLWR audio channel to warn of detected radar and laser signals.

Does that mean that I will get voice alerts for stuff like radar and laser emission over the RLWR audio channel whereas I'll get missile threat voice alerts over the ADF channel? If so, I won't get the latter if the CMWS switch is set to NAV or the ADF volume it turned down or muted?

Yeah, at least that's my understanding of the systems.

Collected partially from other topics, but all the possible reasons for missing CMWS audio warning can be:

If cold start, you need to turn on Weapon/ASE/UTIL LWRS ON (circle filled). (Don't know if it was like this before, buit now it is.) (Also don't forget to turn M hardbutton/FLT/SET/RDRALT to ON, this "default OFF" position also seems to be new, but now you have to to see RDR ALT in numerics on the scale)

Even if Audio panel (at right knee) Master Volume seems to be in a MAX position at first sight (!), you need to turn it back down and then turn it back up to max to really have it on. You should hear white noise with the SQUELCH switches OFF. Probably a bug, dunno if old or new. Swith all SQUELCH to ON afterwards, noise will disappear.

Turn all audio volumes to MAX (top and botton row)

Obviously need to turn on CMWS itself, plus switch to ARM, and CMWS, and AUTO or BYPASS as you wish.

Hope it was not irrelevant, sorry if it was.
