Any way to get the F10-ALT map (the map used in the KA-50 Abris) in the MFD instead?

I hope someone has found a workaround or maybe I missed an option in the Apache to get the F10-ALT map into the MFD instead of the F10-MAP map. As the ALT map is way more detailed tmho and is the one that has my personal preference (the ALT map is used in the KA-50)

Thanks in advance

That wouldn't be realistic.
So unless somebody mods it, you will never see it. Just sayin'!

a little late maybe but:

You know you can switch the TSD "Map" (what you call F10-MAP map) from Chart (thats what its called in the TSD map type menu) to

DIG = Underlays a relief map generated by the digital terrain elevation database (DTED)

or even to

SAT = Underlays satellite-based imagery (not zoomable atm guess its wip)

With DIG you have an awesome (terrain) hight map but you wont see buildings or streets like on the F10 ALT map. But you can also colourize the DIG map through the "Color Bands" option.

A/C = Selects how elevation bands are colorized on the map: No coloring is applied. Terrain is shaded based on aircraft altitude. Terrain that rises above the current altitude is shaded red, and terrain within 50 feet of the current altitude is shaded in yellow.

ELEV = Terrain is shaded from green to brown based on its MSL elevation. If the MPD is in MONO (monochromatic mode), shading will be from green to black.

See pages 134 and up in the DCS Apache Quick Start Manual.

Hope it is still a help though late 🙂

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be realistic. As far as I know the charts are loaded into the DTC, so I don’t see what’s preventing a different chart to be loaded such as the F-10 ALT map.

Yeah. But the F10 map, is actually the actual map from the ABRIS in the Shark. So, no. I don't think so.
