navyBtown Posted April 19, 2022 Share Posted April 19, 2022 (edited) Recently I went through the user files and saw Toaster0314 tosi Republic of China Navy Perry Class Liveries Pack and talked about how nicely done the liveries came out just stunning. But seeing that got me thinking again about why is there not any liveries of countries that use the Oliver Perry-class, mainly from the 1980s to the mid-2000s Australia, Bahrain, Egypt, Poland, Spain, & Turkey all had the same setup as the model in DCS. Does anyone have any insight on this, like is someone planning on making some, or happens to know if anyone already has them, just lost in bowls of the web? So I decided to make some Spanish "Santa Maria Class" Perrys. I am pleased to present two Spanish Navy Frigates from the 41st Escort Squadron: SPS Santa María F81 SPS Victoria F82 Bonus generic Spanish SH-60 (Thanks to Easypeac3 for the SH-60 template) The P-3C Orion in the screenshot is from the Military Aircraft Mod. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3332616/ Notes: The Perry is currently bugged and will not show its flags unless selected from the USA in the country list. Also as of 8/2023, ships Insignia show in the unit selector but not in game. (This applies to all user made and US Perrys as far as I can see. I made a bug report here. I hope you are going to make some more so we can have the other four sisters of the Santa Maria Class. I did not know anyone had already made the two for Polish Perry’s they look great as well. I have seen the Egyptian one, and I am not keen on it because it has issues. By a couple more, I mean close to every ship of the class I could find reference pics of on Google Images. These liveries are pretty rudimentary and nowhere near as detailed, and I'm mostly just slapping numbers, letters, and other PNGs onto existing ED files. Thanks, by the way. I just thought self-promotion was either against the rules or kinda frowned upon on forums like these. But as for setting countries and getting flags and insignia to show up, I am not entirely sure.
