Logitech  Extreme 3d PRO controller used with a Thrustmaster HOTAS warthog controller 🕷️ :chair:BUG !!!!

This bug comes up when I go to repair any vehicle ,Helicopter,Aircraft ,whatever....   After the repair the   YAW  (rudder left/right)  is always reset way off to the right after the repair instead of the center of the joystick where it should be. I could see that action happening in the  Mi-8 and looked at the control to find out what went wrong.  This is the same action as in an F18 after I repair it . It always yaws to the right and won't center.   Getting repaired is the root cause of this joystick problem and I need to report it here so that it might get fixed at some point. I have had the problem for years so far and just don't try to repair anything anymore.

I understand, it is 130 dollars in its standard version, but not everyone has the possibility of it. I simply recommended it because in my opinion it is the best value for money option.

I hope one day you can get it.

As a former Logitech Extreme 3D PRO user, I can say that the only thing that will do to recalibrate is to unplug the USB and plug it back in until the controls are centered.

Still there is a bug in the dcs engine. I have to let them know about it and this seems to be the place to do that.  I did what I could describing it so they can go into the controller code and make the minor modification that will reset the joysticks YAW   (twist on the Logitech) and not put it into a very weird position off the the right of center. This is a some kinda 🕷️ bug 🕷️.  I would imagine that  they would want to tackle that bit of code somewhere along the way in one of their updates to newer version.  So I post this bug here so they can add it into the pile of bugs

Thanks for the quick reply.  I have done the unplug thing and the yaw still exists . It is somewheres in the code . I do  have some past programming experience with Directx and my Spider sense is detecting a  ____  ,  well you know ... Heh anyway I still luv to fly them jets and choppers.

With the Logitech Extreme 3D PRO I had this problem after every reboot. I had to remove the USB and plug it back in until I centered the controls. It would be nice if this is fixed, because it would help a lot of people in their initiation without big investments. The Logitech Extreme 3D PRO feels great, but it has this problem.

As a former Log. 3D user, I was always having trouble with yaw. At least for me, I needed to have

my yaw on a separate device, not on the twist grip. I couldn't manage 3 axes's on 1 stick.

I picked up a TM T Flight HOTAS X for about 70 bucks and never looked back.

Amazon.com: THRUSTMASTER T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick (PS3 & Windows) : Video Games

It's little short on buttons and only has 1 hat switch, but works really well with the rudder mapped to the rocker on the back of the throttle.

I have mobility issues and can't use pedals. My legs and feet don't work the way they used to.

It was well within my limited budget and also has a screw to lock the stick so it doesn't turn.

It sure beats a $500+ Warthog when you're poor like me.   🙃

@rayrayblues i always thought all the controls at the hands was more accurate. the hands have a lot more feel than the legs. i kind of wish that cars came with everything on the wheel. long trips would be much easier. i keep trying to put pedals in the mix but always seem to be uncoordinated. give we a twist and all feel natural.

Me too. I just can't do the twist. It's too vague and I always inadvertently twist it when maneuvering.

My stick now just goes X & Y and I steer with my left hand.   🇺🇦

I was given a 2nd hand warthog for my birthday , but it does not have yaw control. I hooked in the Logitech mainly for Yaw control ,but use it to fly the 5 types of Helicopters used in my mission.  This repair YAW bug affects them all, as well as the F18 & A10s that I also fly there.   I guess I need a 2nd joystick , left handed, as my right hand is on the Warthog while flying Aircraft.   Or perhaps a simple device attachment to the warthog so It can address Yaw. Anyhow , I do end up using the buttons on the warthog with the Apache and Mi-8 as they have tons of buttons to push, heheh.
