Bowman-011 Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Behavior: After repeatedly running into this issue I finally caught it on a track short enough to submit. In an A/G dummy air-start mission I play around with the TGP and the HTS with the HMCS turned on. After some time I realize that the HMCS symbology disappeared. I was unable to recover it no matter what I did. Turning the HMCS off and on with the know didn't make any difference. Neither did playing with the HMCS config settings. Since I wanted to preserve the issue in a track I didn't bother to wait if the issue would "self-heal" after some time. _SteelFalcon_ Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Did you by chance press DMS down long? Cuz that deactivates and reactivates the HMCs, regardless of brightness setting on the knob (obviously you will not notice if the knob is fully left)

Solution Bowman-011 Posted April 30, 2022 Author Solution Posted April 30, 2022 "its not a bug, its a feature!" DMS down long is indeed the answer to that problem. Thanks for clarifying. Could you please update the table on page 51 of the Viper manual. I first thought that this is a bad case of RTFM but I couldn't find this feature in the documentation. 2 i7-12700KF - 64GB DDR4@3600MHz - RTX 4090 - HP Reverb G2 - Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS - Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs - LG Rudder Pedals
Frederf Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Indeed that's where that feature would be displayed but the particular line in the manual is blank. 2
