Niehorst Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Hey, just found out that its possible to create new payloads in the editor. GREAT! But Im not able to use lets say a cannonpod on one side and a rocketpod on the other one. A asymetric paylod selection results in the fact that I only can use one of them. Mostly the Gunpod.. Also tried Vikhrs/Bomb. After I released the Bomb I was able to use the missiles. Anybody knows the answer!?:helpsmilie: NZXT H400i case i9 9900k @ 4,9GHz (cooled by NZXT Kraken X62 4x140Fan - Push/Pull) Asus RoG Maximus XI Gene with 32GB G.Skill CL14 Samsung M.2 970Pro 1000GB ZOTAC RTX 2080ti Triple Fan 11GB 34" RoG Swift Curved TFT runs smooth like Beck's Gold :D HTC VIVE pro eYe (still freaking out!) Mad Dog 7.62 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 The system is not designed to accomodate an asymmetrical payload. The pylons are selected in pairs. I am curious now what happens if you put, for instance, a fuel tank on one and a rocket pod on the other though..... fox_111 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I once had rockets on one pilon and a gunpod on the other (both inner station). Only one of the pilon was working... that was strange.
Bulletstop Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I had fuel and rocket pod, the rocket worked and I drained fuel from the other, so I can say it worked for me. GGTharos Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 As mentioned before, the weapon control system is not designed to handle asymmetric payloads. It is designed to handle weapons paired on the pylons, so forget about your franken-loads ;) 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Niehorst Posted December 22, 2008 Author Posted December 22, 2008 If this really isnt possible in real life, THAT would be a cheat I like to use! 1 NZXT H400i case i9 9900k @ 4,9GHz (cooled by NZXT Kraken X62 4x140Fan - Push/Pull) Asus RoG Maximus XI Gene with 32GB G.Skill CL14 Samsung M.2 970Pro 1000GB ZOTAC RTX 2080ti Triple Fan 11GB 34" RoG Swift Curved TFT runs smooth like Beck's Gold :D HTC VIVE pro eYe (still freaking out!) GGTharos Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 It isn't possible in real life, and I don't think it'll be made available as a 'cheat' either (it would require re-coding the WCS into a less-than-realistic state, which I don't think ED is interested in). dnnzed Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Hello, could it be possible to launch only one rocket? I cannot find any info about it, but what if I want to shot only one rocket? When I select rockets and fire, both sides are launching 1-1. THX.

Sure, put a fuel tank on one side so you only have a single rocket pod. :D But no, if you have two pods, there is no way to just shoot one rocket at a time...both pods will shoot one rocket each.

Enjoy you can fire only two rockets, in LO it was whole minimum double-triple salvo :P Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... Or put the same type on inner and outer (one pod on each).
