TEMPEST.114 Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 (edited) From links on the web, watching display flying and videos of BFM, does it seem that the F18 in DCS has significantly lowered roll rates? I’d even go as far as today the same is true for the Viper and Tomcat. Edited June 12, 2022 by Elphaba Title typo

DummyCatz Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 (edited) I don't think the same thing is true for the Viper, considering the recent update/increase in roll rate specifically. Plus there's a flight tested roll rate graph of F-16 from MIL-STD 1797A, showing a max achievable of 223-226 deg/s. Is there any equivalent graph for the Hornet? Edited June 9, 2022 by DummyCatz
Hulkbust44 Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 This is definitely true, at anything over 20 alpha the roll rate is abysmal compared to the aircraft it should waltz over in that regime.
