If you are referring to the APKWS Will the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) be included? The APKWS was not fielded to the AH-64 until late 2015. Our AH-64D is a mid-Block II in the 2005-to-2010-time frame. This would fall well outside the version of the AH-64D that we are simulating. Further, needed information like its weapon pages are not publicly available. As such, it is not in our current planning. 2 Pokeraccio Forum: Pokeraccio F/A-18C Hornet - Weapons QRH Quick Reference Handbook / Checklist / Kneeboard User Files: Pokeraccio F/A-18C Hornet - Weapons QRH Quick Reference Handbook / Checklist / Kneeboard User Files: Spitfire LF Mk.IX QRH / Checklist / Pilot's Note Kneeboard by Pokeraccio

The question is, why does the Apache need the Hydra missiles anyway? They're even more inefficient than the gun. The range isn't any better than the gun either. They are by far the most imprecise tool Apache has. Splash damage in DCS is a total joke. That's why the almost hits of the hydras have absolutely no effect except on infantry. But the gun can be used just as well here. A Hydra Pod is slightly HEAVY than 4 Hellfire... that's the crowning glory. My conclusion: I only take the Hydras with me for reasons of authenticity. But actually are the wasted payload.

I have no problems hitting targets with Hydras so far, especially in Cooperative range measuring mode, it required some practice at the beginning. I agree with underwhelming splash damage though. Obviously Hellfire is more potent longer range weapon, but also very expensive, that's why Apache crews has been reprimanded for extensive Hellfire use including firing a missile to single infantrymen during Guld War 1991. In MP servers or more realistic - symmetrical SP scenario with capable (or human) enemy, when i manage to sneak up to i.e. enemy FARP, base or encampment and i have 10-20 seconds to do as much damage as possible before running away Hydras are clearly the best option. (In zero threat enviroment "anti-partisan" missions obviously sitting high and exposed in a hover, "raining hate with impunity" i can slowly gradually Hellfire everything in range, but this is boring kind of scenario for me anyway.)
