A-10 carrying a load of 16 GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs Can we expect this kind of inventory in the near future for the A-10C II in DCS??? I found this picture on the internet

What are the odds of allowing the F-16 to carry the AIM-7, as it would make simulating some historical engagements more realistic. For example a friend and I are running an Israel vs Syria campaign in Liberation circa 1982. Not having the AIM-7 is kind of a bummer. I understand that the aircraft simulated is a USAF F-16C circa 2008 or thereabouts, but it appears that the USAF did in fact have the capability to use the AIM-7 on that aircraft, so it's not beyond the realm of reality. Hi, Since the Update if you put on a single 120 onto a Pylon you will get the double Rack Launcher with one Missile in it. Not like until now the single one. I suppose the double launcher has more drag. Also there is no other launcher Option available. If you mount a Aim 7 on the LAU 115 you still get the single launcher. I don't know if thats a bug or supposed to be that way, hence i am asking here. Cheers

I really like the look of it

This wasn't an AH-64D weapons system in 2002, it was first deployed on the type in 2015, so it won't appear in the 2002 declassified manual. However, it is public knowledge that this aircraft can carry and guide APKWS rockets at this time, and the weapon side of the system is already modeled in DCS, so my question is, will it be added in development at some point, or is this being treated as an AH-64E capability that came after the type to be simulated was in service? I think this is the type of weapon that'd be deployed frequently, and the tens of thousands produced in a short amount of time suggests that it is. There's also an argument that the weapon type should be available on the F-18C and F-16C, as the USMC used the weapon from F-18s in 2019, and the USAF added the type in 2016 to both the A-10 and F-16. Basically, for a number of high fidelity modules it is a genuine recent addition, and would be beneficial to the CAS role, particularly in lower intensity, urban scenarios. The fact that this helicopter can be simulated at all at this time is pretty incredible, the aircraft has had such a long service life because the airframe was already adequate, and it's really only needed weapons and systems upgrade to remain relevant over the years. I may be asking for a very recent addition to it's arsenal, but given how DCS is, it'd also be cool to have access to older weapons as well to at least be era accurate for cold war scenarios.

One problem that I have with the Viper is that I always find my self with fumes at the end of a sortie, especially if I'm doing A-G using both stations 2 and 5 for bombs and not for fuel tanks. Is it possible to add CFT (Conformal Fuel Tanks) to the Viper, like in the mission editor the creator has the option to choose between CFT Viper and non-CFT Viper, so that way we will have more fuel while not occupying stations 2 and 5 for fuel bags. Is it possible in terms of classified info? And if so will we see that later with the Viper or not? I know of the mod but the thing is the mod requires all players to have it and not all player have it nor know or want to get it. Personally I would really really love to see that makes the Viper much better of a fighter and the CFT makes it look much meaner.

Are the any future plans to add the CRV7 rockets especially to contribute to the British apache skins we're getting? i believe the CRV7 is used by both US and UK but US favour the Hydras

Request ATAT CAGE/UNCAGE button on cyclic updated to HMD Store, and allow option to select FXD RKT and GND STOW if able. FXD became a usable option ~2007 due to feedback from AFG/Iraq sorties being conducted at higher altitudes. Additionally, the CAGE/UNCAGE button is realistically depicted, but the button changed to a store functionality that utilizes auto range (regardless of range actually selected in HAD) to drop a TGT on location identified, or WP/CM if selected by user on POINT - STO - TYPE.

I would like to add to the wishlist, the Amase Pods as used by the RNLAF. A friend of mine already created both models. We use them cosmeticly on the current Apache D model with green camo color and also on the Virtual RNLAF Apache Display in demo colors.

The apache has a comprehensive communications suite. MFD formats allow the selection of targets, both from points as well as from the FCR to be sent to artillery for a fire mission. I would like this to be tied in with DCS in such a way that artillery fire missions are generated for the selected artillery unit on the selected fire support element (FSE). Artillery should be selectable as the FSE if it has that option set in the mission editor, perhaps as a route special option to be available for unit/group/coalition datalink tasking. In practice this is hardly used, but in DCS it could tie in nicely.

Air National Guard and defense industry leaders and distinguished visitors commemorated this addition to the F-16’s arsenal of equipment recently in a ceremony held on Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. The group gathered in front of an AESA-equipped F-16 assigned to the DCANG’s 113th Wing, the first unit in the Air Force to receive this upgraded capability. “This has not been without a lot of labor, without a lot of advocacy, and without a lot of people saying, ‘I don't have another dollar to spend on an old F-16,’” said Lt. Gen. Michael A. Loh, ANG director, who served as an F-16 pilot in both the Air Force and ANG. The provisioning of the AESA radar in the F-16 legacy fleet was a result of the combined effort of the defense industry, Congress, the U.S. Air Force, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The implementation of this radar technology, which complements the capabilities of fifth-generation fighters like the F-35 Lightning II and F-22 Raptor, revitalizes legacy aircraft and cost-effectively integrates them into the current generation of assets. 220609-Z-UY654-1018.jfif

https://robertsonfuelsystems.com/defense/reduced-size-crashworthy-external-fuel-system-rcefs/?fbclid=IwAR3mEcoESTbC_Vt1zSET1yHZPsIcR9SOr5GD5sfxBBkrBCIW5uhYt8ReA0w It would be really great that once the internal Robbie tank is able to be replaced by (up to) 1200x30mm rounds, that we get the option of adding the 122gal RCEFS tanks to sit on outside, a perfect replacement for the internal tank. The current "torpedo" tanks are huge and unwieldy, and the 230gal capacity is a little too much for knife fighting in in most of the DCS user-base situations (one would hazard a guess at). Plus the look a bit better than having a canoe strapped to the outside.

I know F-16 uses AIM-7, so where is it?

Hola, Since it is already available for the Hornet module, was wondering if ED is planning on incorporating it as one of the armament options for the Viper... Or any other new standoff weapons, for that matter. Cheers!

Hey all, a quick question. Im just reading roadmap update that the VSR is in development https://forum.dcs.world/topic/278635-dcs-f-16c-viper-roadmap/?do=findComment&comment=5158111 - great news. I understand everything is fresh and crisp and probably early to aks, but i wonder if LRS radar mode will be added to the Viper ? *long range search*

SDBs are supposed to be available to the A-10CII IOT expend its capabilities and loadout what about our Thunderbolt ???

Its just another AMRAAM, so, when will we see it as an option for the F-16?

The US had given over 500 BLU-107 Durandals to Turkey in the 90s. The only aircraft that can carry it in Turkish service is the F-16, this would include their F-16CM BLK 50s. While not in use by American F-16s, both the Durandal and the F-16CM BLK 50 are in use by Turkey. I admit, this might be a long shot, but it would be nice if the DCS representation of the F-16CM BLK 50 would include the option to arm it with Durandals.
