First of all, thanks for finally adding the feature.

Also interesting description of the feature.

Why doesn't the number, at the location of the SAM system, however, turn red too when entering the threat ring? It also doesn't change colour if the site is active/tracking or firing a missile at you or someone else.

I guess it was supposed to say "will turn red whenever the aircraft is inside the threat ring" or something to that effect. Cause the threat ring would be sort of pointless if the threat were not actually in it

These rings are just there to indicate the estimated range of the SAM. They're just static "drawings" nothing more. They turn red to notify you that you're flying inside a SAM's WEZ, but that's it.
