Hi all,

I went back to the F-5 Tiger II and I notice that when I center the IR track the view is at the bottom of the cockpit! On the other modules no worries.

Do you have this problem?

Hi. Try this:

  1. Start your TrackIR.
  2. Launch DCS.
  3. Go to Options > Controls > F-5E Real > Axis Commands.
  4. There, your should see the 'TrackIR' column. Click the black arrow next to its title, then click "Reset category to default".
  5. If that is not enough, select each TrackIR assignment ("TRACKIR_Z", "TRACKIR_PITCH"...) then click "Axis Tune" and click "Reset".
  6. Don't forget to save modifications by clicking "OK" when leaving the menu.

Thanks you Flappie.

I tried what you suggested but it doesn't work.

I even uninstalled then reinstalled the module but it's the same.

It's not a problem with the module. Flappie suggested it had to do with the controls settings. Since that didn't work, you might need to reset your views. Seems it got saved in a strange position.
Now, I don't remember which file this is, but I'm sure @Flappie does.

Good luck!

This file: C:\Users\user\Saved Games\DCS...\Config\View\SnapViews.lua

@Fred901 Try renaming this file so the game cannot find it (e.g. "SnapViews.lua.bak"), then start DCS. Does it fix your issue?

You're welcome.  😉

And good job on guessing the source of this issue, @MAXsenna. 👍

Haha! Yeah, I learned it the hard way. 😊

@Fred901 Little note. If you're going to change and save your views with "RAlt + Num0". Remember to turn off TrackIR first, or you will have some strange behaviour. 😊

Cheers!

I am having some track ir issues…. Can I just clarify, if I delete the snap views .lua file, I can start again with adjusting the positions etc? Do I need to do this for each module? And the procedure is: adjust view to required position>turn off trackir>Keypad 5 to center>save with Ralt+num pad 0?

thanks

If you delete the file, it will reset every module. If you only need to adjust one module, open the file and delete the entries for that module.
Then turn off TrackIR, adjust and then save. Turn on TrackIR again.
Num5 to center, NumEnter to reset zoom and RAlt + Num0 to save.

Cheers!
