walt262 Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 How many of you guys actually have a flight helmet you wear while flying in DCS?
Mr_sukebe Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 I know a chap with a Gentex helmet. Apparently they’re really hot to wear. So whilst it’s a cool idea, not so great in practice 1 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

Swordsman422 Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 (edited) I collect flight helmets and gear, and have several APH-6, HGU-33, -55, and -68s. You actually CAN buy an adapter to adapt the helmet and mask comms to computer audio input/output... But it's not something I do. Older helmet liners made of foam-stuffed leather don't breathe very well, so they get pretty stuffy under there. Even newer comfort-fit TPLs are just kinda okay in that they'll absorb the sweat better but remain pretty hot. There is only so far into the realm of immersion I'll go.
