tsgucci Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Hey Baltic! I recently completed the campaign. I was first day buyer of R1 and also first day buyer of R1DF. I cannot decide which campaign I enjoyed the most, both of them are masterpieces. R1 set the bar high, but R1DF set it even higher. The storyline - side storys and behaviours of characters - in R1DF was not so prominent as in R1 but the additional expertise, procedures, realism fills the gap. I think nobody knows what tremendous job you had to invest to create this campaign, I salute you! There are here and there some issues but 99% only "standard DCS AI issues". Salutation to all the voice actors as well! What a job! It was nice to hear "familiar" voices here and there! The difficulty of the campaign was high but not impossible. Please do not tune it down not even by an inch, it is perfect as it is! Thank you again! Keep up the good work! Cant wait for the next one! Regarding the M15. The only thing I have found that on the way back, Sluggo and Blade has teh same SA page name (SE21). 1

Jayhawk1971 Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 I also just finished Mission 15. What a fantastic campaign!! I did the whole mission in one long session (no "F10 skipping"), and I loved it! I really enjoy those long missions with multiple visits to the tanker, and lots of other flights. Mission specific spoiler: Spoiler I messed up the JSOW drop with the changed target location at the last minute, so I dropped it into nirvana. IDK if that is the reason, or it was scripted anyway, but I got hit by AAA and got a scripted message from Flip. Anyway, after the credits scene, my generator stopped working and I had to kill the right engine, and perform an emergency straight in Case 1 trap, will emergency gear release (which I had to remap on the fly, middle mouse button did nothing). Anyway, I managed to trap. The only "gripe" with the scripting is that I was a little ahead of the curve, got the "are you ready" prompt seconds before I trapped. I was trimmed on speed (yellow doughnut) all the way in, so IDK if I was too fast for the script. Now if you tell me all of this wouldn't have happened if I my JSOW had taken out the AAA, I'm gonna cry (a little). Can't wait for your next campaign(s). Next should be the F-16 one with Rain, right?

Solid_84 Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Finally got to fly the last mission and what a ride it was. This is now one of my all time favourite missions. As for the whole campaign, it was immensely enjoyable but after having played TEW, R1 and Iron Flag, I expected nothing less from you. As tsgucci said, please don't go any easier on us.:) I really appreciate all of your effort to make things feel realistic and immersive for us. Be assured that your next campaign will also be a day one purchase for me. As a mainly single player pilot it will finally give me a reason to learn the F16 properly. Thank you again for all of the great work you've done! 1
